I’m Lavel, a New Mexico photographer with 20 years behind the camera and a heart shaped by faith, family, and storytelling. I love Jesus, and being raised as a preacher’s kid taught me early on about humility, serving others, and finding purpose in every moment. I’ve been married to my husband for 22 years, and together we’re raising two incredible kids. I’m also half Dominican, which is where my love for bold color, warmth, and soulful connection comes from.

My passion for photography began in high school as the yearbook photographer, where I learned the art of film and developed images in a darkroom. Over the years, I transitioned fully into digital photography, embracing its endless creative possibilities while holding onto that same love for timeless, meaningful imagery. My work blends elegance with a modern, dreamy aesthetic, creating images that feel both authentic and beautifully intentional.
